Meeting Your MP Practice Session

We’re well into July now, so it’s important we get meeting with our MPs to help stop the federal ag gag Bill C-275!!

We know meeting with politicians can feel scary, so we’re running a special MP meeting practice session for AJAers on July 18, 7-8PM ET.

This is your opportunity to have a dry-run in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

In this Zoom gathering we’ll:

• Demo how an MP meeting might go
• Hear from AJAers who’ve already connected and met with their MPs
• Find out what worked and didn’t work
• Have 4-person breakout rooms for each person to practice doing a meeting about the ag gag bill with fellow AJAers playing the MPs
• Do a Q&A following the breakout rooms so people can get guidance on any challenges they had
• We’ll also talk about how you can get a more veteran AJAer to attend your meeting with you if needed

July 18 - 7PM - 8PM ET

To make this MP meeting as easy as possible for you we’ve created instructions for meeting with your MP and a briefing note to give your MP (in either English or French). It would be helpful (but not necessary) for you to familiarize yourself some with the action materials all housed HERE before the practice session.
