Connect for Animals is trying to change this.

It's a free platform that connects people who want to end factory farming to people, events, education, and advocacy opportunities to help them become more active.

Connect For Animals' founder Steven Rouk joins us for this AJA Lunchtime Live to talk about the technology and strategy they're employing to build this social network and events database, why it's important to build animal advocates over vegans, and how AJAers can use this as a resource in your activism.

About Steven Rouk: 

Steven Rouk is the founder of Connect For Animals, a platform for people who want to help end factory farming. With a background in data analysis and programming, Steven has been in the animal advocacy movement for the last decade working on research, strategy, community building, and grassroots activism, with his experiences ranging from leafleting with Vegan Outreach, to research and data with Mercy For Animals, to protests and community building with Direct Action Everywhere. His experiences with many forms of activism led him to recognize how difficult it can be to get plugged into animal advocacy, which was the idea that sparked Connect For Animals. When not working on Connect For Animals, Steven enjoys writing about philosophy and ethics, reading nonfiction, and running.
