Ways to Advocate for Vegan Fashion
Animal Justice Academy Lunchtime Live
With Vikki Lenola
12pm - 1pm

Between animals used for down and feathers, leather, wools, and fur, over five billion animals are subjected to cruel practices every year by the fashion industry.

As organizer of The Vegan Fashion Show, head of a public relations agency, and a model, Vikki Lenola joins this Animal Justice Academy Lunchtime Live to talk about how we can help these animals by making the fashion industry more compassionate.

We'll discuss:

  • the ethical and environmental harm of animal-based fashion
  • the latest innovative and sustainable non-animal materials
  • how culturally diverse vegan fashion is becoming
  • the biggest challenges vegan fashion needs to overcome
  • how The Vegan Fashion Show has been a bridge between the vegan community and the fashion community.

If you're interested in advocating in this area of animal protection or simply want to know what's up in vegan fashion options for your own buying knowledge, make sure to join us for this gathering!

*We invite folks to have their video on during this event to enhance the sense of community, but it’s not mandatory

Vikki Lenola is a model/ dancer, vegan fashion influencer, activist, and publicist. She is the founder of Lenola PR, a public relations agency that promotes talent and ethical brands, and the organizer of The Vegan Fashion Show, which showcases animal-free fashion and innovative materials. She has a background in environmental studies, business, and effective altruism for animal advocacy. Vikki is passionate about using her platform to highlight sustainable and compassionate alternatives in fashion. Her journey began with pattern drafting and accessory design as an exclusive supplier for a bridal boutique. She later transitioned into modeling, where she worked with hundreds of brands and gained international media recognition. Having experience as an organizer for PETA, she saw firsthand how few people were aware of the ethical and environmental issues tied to animal-based fashion.
