ANIMAL JUSTICE ACADEMY LUNCHTIME LIVE:
A BIG VISION for the Animal Freedom Movement with Laila Kassam

The UK-based Animal Think Tank (ATT) was formed in 2018 by Laila Kassam and others who felt the key to taking the Animal Freedom Movement to the next level lay in thorough research and planning and looking to successful major social movements for inspiration.

Using lessons from transformative change movements like the Civil Rights Movement, Freedom to Marry, the Indian Independence Movement, the Colour Revolutions of Eastern Europe, the UK Anti-Slavery Movement, and Extinction Rebellion, ATT is putting into place big picture organizational structures and exploring cutting edge strategies that could enable millions of people to participate in the Animal Freedom Movement and change the course of history.

ATT supported the launch of Animal Rebellion (inspired by Extinction Rebellion) to push the issue of animal farming and fishing into the environmental movement’s focus.

In this AJA Lunchtime Live, Laila will talk about the importance of thorough BIG VISION planning for this movement, and give us a primer on fascinating aspects of her organization's theory of change, including narrative framing, swarm organizing, and culture-building... just to name a few.

*We invite folks to have their video on during this event to enhance the sense of community, but it’s not mandatory
