Educating Students about Factory Farming
Animal Justice Academy Lunchtime Live
with Monica Chen
12pm - 1pm
The animal agriculture industry is causing devastating harm to animals, humans, and the planet, and New Roots Institute is looking to youth to change this.
Formerly known as Factory Farming Awareness Coalition, New Roots Institute goes into high schools and post-secondary institutes to educate students about factory farming and show them how they can help end this destructive system.
New Roots Executive Director Monica Chen will share what the organization has learned from doing 10,000 presentations impacting 300,000+ students in high schools and colleges across the U.S... What approaches and content are most resonating with young people, how they're responding, and the best ways to empower this next generation to end factory farming.
Whether you have any young folks in your life or are trying to figure out ways to get animal advocacy into schools, be sure to join this conversation.
*We invite folks to have their video on during this event to enhance the sense of community, but it’s not mandatory
